Boribap is closely like bibimbap but better, well for me it is better. It's barley rice with veggies, roasted seaweed, sesame seeds, and hot pepper paste as the seasoning. It was my very first boribap that I had at Namdaemun Market. It was so tasty and I even got free kalguksu noodle and of course kimchi as sidedish. It costed me for only ₩5500 or around $5.
Kalguksu is a handmade, knife-cut wheat noodles served with clear broth. Mine topped with hot pepper paste (gochujang), green onions, and seaweed. The soup was so tasty, rich in flavor, even better with sliced of tofu skin (abura-age). As side dish, Ahjumma gave me some kimchi. To cure the thirst, I had barley tea for free. Eating out in Seoul is pricey, but if you look down at the market or small alley where the local eats, there are so much more affordable food to try and of course the local taste and busy ambiance that you can't find in restaurants.
