Ingredients:
- 10 cloves asian shallot (bawang merah), thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 or more bird's eye chili (cabe rawit), sliced
- 5 kaffir lime leaves (daun jeruk purut), thinly sliced
- 3-5 sticks lemon grass, thinly sliced the white part
- 2 tbsp lime juice (limau)
- 1 tsp toasted shrimp paste (terasi)
- 3-5 tbsp light olive oil or vegetable oil
- salt to taste
Directions:
- Mix the shallot, garlic, chili, lime leaves, lemon grass, salt, and shrimp paste
- On a pan heat the olive oil
- When the oil is hot, pour the mixture, stir for 5 seconds
- Turn off the heat, put the sambal into a bowl
- Add lime juice, mix well
