#GFEasyCookingRicotta: Some Recipes Using Greenfields Ricotta Cheese

When I heard that Greenfields launched their new product, Ricotta cheese, really it's a relieve. Why? Because I knew it's gonna be good and affordable. Personally I used Greenfields product quite often especially mozzarella cheese. Really there were so many things coming up on my mind, from Lasagna to sweet desserts. Greenfield Ricotta is thick and creamy, unsalted so it can be used for making sweet treats too.

Made something very easy yet very delightful dish, it's Ricotta Strawberry French Roast Sandwich

Ingredients:
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • vanilla extract or cinnamon powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
Filling:
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 3 tbsp Greenfields Ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
Directions:
  1. For the filling, mix Greenfields Ricotta cheese with sugar, saltm and lemon juice until the sugar completely dissolved, set a side
  2. In a bowl combine the egg, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla (or cinnamon)
  3. Make the sandwich by spreading some ricotta mixture onto the white bread, fill with strawberries, top with another sliced of bread
  4. Dip the sandwich into egg mixture for few seconds
  5. On a pan, melt the butter, cook the dipped sandwich on medium low heat
  6. Flip once one side done
  7. Serve with mixed berried and honey or your favorite syrup

Move on to savory dish, Pizza! Everyone's favorite! Making pizza at home is actually not that hard, I shared my recipe for making pizza dough earlier. When it comes to pizza, add any of your favorite toppings, it was my first time using ricotta on my pizza. At first, I was a bit skeptical but the fact that it turned extremely good. Rich, soft, and creamy combined with crispy crust, yes!!

Another Ricotta cheese idea is to use it as filling for crepes. Think about making the fancy French Crepes for weekend brunch to impress your family and friends. You may want to check my crepes recipe, I made Blueberry Ricotta Crepes
